Keanu Reeves’ association with the Marvel Cinematic Universe is long-awaited. However, it may come true now – MCU is roping in Keanu Reeves as the new Ghost Rider.
While Marvel fans are anxiously waiting to see Keanu Reeves as a superhero, President Kevin Feige has confirmed talks with the Matrix superstar over a future role. However, there is no available role in the MCU for him as of now.
Marvel’s intellectual property right over Ghost Rider is still unclear. Gabriel Luna portrayed the Robbie Reyes iteration of the character in the fourth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Marvel Plans Keanu Reeves for Ghost Rider
Although he did not return after his initial set of appearances, Luna was considered as one of the most popular additions to the series. In fact, the character was set to get a Hulu series, but the streamer ceased development for reasons not fully explained.

Moreover, Ghost Rider was set to be the flagship title for a new label of horror-influenced Marvel shows. But its future is also uncertain at this moment. That said, Kevin Feige is evaluating the prospect of future a Marvel TV series.

One character that fans seem to be wishful for Keanu Reeves is the Johnny Blaze version of Ghost Rider. Blaze is a Marvel icon that has already appeared within the context of the MCU. The character’s backstory reveals that Johnny Blaze is alive and well in the MCU. He gave the younger character his set of powers while he came incredibly close to death.
However, fans are adamant to see Keanu as Ghost Rider. An Instagram user “Death.Streak007” came up with an image depicting what Keanu Reeves may look like in the role.
