In 2019, Reeves admitted that he will play Constantine again, but there’s hardly any news from Hollywood. So is it a Movie or a hush-hush Gaming Project?

Keanu Reeves wants to come back for the role of John Constantine in Constantine 2. The American occult detective film’s previous part was released in 2005. The movie was based on the DC Comics’ Hellblazer comic book. In the movie, Keanu is a cynic with the ability to discern and communicate with half-angels and half-demons. He seeks salvation from eternal damnation in Hell for a suicide attempt in his youth.

John Constantine drives demons back to hell to earn favor with Heaven but has become tired over time. He is suffering from lung cancer and will die young. In the movie, John teams up with a troubled policewoman Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz). They are on a mission to solve the mysterious suicide case of her twin sister. It takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles.

John Constantine Movie to Video game
After the Keanu Reeves’ Constantine movie, they came up with action-adventure video game with the same name ‘Constantine’. The game was developed by Bits Studios and published by SCi Games in 2005 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Mobile phone.
In the game Constantine, Keanu Reeves as John Constantine collects ammo, uses items to restore health and cast spell. It is a third-person shooting game showing a variety of weapons to eliminate demons. He learns that unholy animals are somehow crossing into the realm of Earth without care. The game follows the plot of the movie, though it usually cuts to the chase rather than setting up the story itself.

“It might be good enough for fans of the film looking to walk in Constantine’s shoes, but if you’re simply looking for a good action game, you can do better.”

Keanu Reeves in Constantine 2
Recently, Keanu Reeves in an interview said that he will love to come back for the lead role in Constantine 2. The Constantine character was admired by the audience. It showed that the hero of the movie can reveal his vulnerable side, all while rooting his badassery in his habit of distancing from people since he’s afraid of hurting them.
“I’ve always wanted to play John Constantine again. I just love that world, too, and I love that character. I just had a blast playing a character and (playing) in that world.”
It delved into themes about spirituality, religion, and redemption. Keanu Reeves’ Constantine also boasted of a distinct visual style with a dynamic camera. Movements during its action sequences, like the bug-demon fight and the holy sprinkler water assault. But the movie didn’t make a dent back in 2005.
These days Keanu Reeves is getting the attention that he deserves. Moreover, he has single-handedly toppled the biggest movie this year with John Wick: Chapter 3. So if Constantine 2 is made, it will definitely be something that fans would like to watch.
