Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has chosen a dark path in a new comic series, and she’ll kill at least one of her former teammates. The question is, which one?
Marvel has revealed that Captain Marvel kill Avengers in the upcoming comic, the last Avenger. In the comics, written by Kelly Thompson shows Captain Marvel’s new look is revealed with a new costume and a new mission to kill an Avenger. She is heading towards a much darker path in the comics.
Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel loses her power in the comic, but it gets even worse when she takes a stunning turn towards the dark side. Fans are surprised after knowing that Carol would be undergoing a big change in the upcoming arc of the series titled The Last Avenger.

Drawn by Lee Garbett, “The Last Avenger” shows Captain Marvel against her fellow Avengers. It is not clear how did Captain Marvel come to the point of killing Avengers. One thing is sure that Earth will never be the same.
“As Kelly continues her daring and defining run on Captain Marvel, in this new arc, ‘The Last Avenger,’ she pushes the boundaries even further by taking Carol in a dark and deadly new direction,” told Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief.
Can Captain Marvel really turn from friends to foes?
Captain Marvel is one of the most powerful Avengers who has fought off alien hordes, rescued X-Men, punched Thanos in the face and literally saved the world. Captain Marvel Kill Avengers, that is the biggest challenge she will be facing.
Marvel has revealed that Captain Marvel will kill the Avengers but we don’t know why that’s her mission or what happened that lead to this.
In the Dark Captain Marvel storyline, alongside the appearance of the star, we have a supervillain who has been absorbing Carol Danvers’ powers and redirecting them at her. It also forges a new superhero identity in the process.
So which Avenger’s blood will be on Captain Marvel’s hands?
In the new issue of Captain Marvel #13 which says “one Avenger is dead at Captain Marvel’s hand”, so it seems we will see Carol taking the life of at least one of her former teammates. Now the question is who will be the one?
Captain Marvel writer Kelly Thompson teased a bit of what’s to come and what fans can expect from The Last Avenger.
The glimpse of the Captain Marvel #13 cover shows indeed Carol underneath the helmet. So, we are puzzled but also intrigued as to why she’s taken up the fight with her friends and fellow Avengers.
Pushing Captain Marvel to the furthest edge
Carol is an incredibly powerful character and you can really push her to the furthest edge and you sort of need to in order to keep things interesting, and that’s what we’re trying to do with The Last Avenger,” Kelly Thompson said.
“I think it’s going to be a terrific Carol story that really highlights her strengths as a character – and maybe some weaknesses as well. Issue 12 is unlike any script I’ve written for Marvel before and unlike any Carol story I’ve ever read. It’s a little risky but I’m excited. I hope people love it,” Kelly Thompson added.
A Synopsis of the New Series
The series will show why Captain Marvel started hating Earth after the public turned their back on her over her half-Kree heritage. And with her so-called Kree ‘comrade’ Minerva stealing Carol’s powers, she has nobody left in her corner. She has nobody left to keep her from doing something she can’t take back.
Fans are hoping to see the story play out for them. There is no denying that Captain Marvel’s new costume is a killer upgrade, but that may end up costing fans of Marvel’s mightiest heroes. Seriously, at least one, and then keep killing until she’s stopped.
