BTS officially announced that the boy band is going on a break after continuously performing for 6years.
BTS also is known as Bangtan Boys is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed in Seoul in 2013. The band is taking the next step on the road to international pop stardom.
The band’s management company, Big Hit Entertainment, announced in a statement on Twitter that members RM, Jungkook, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V would be taking “an official and extended period of rest and relaxation” and would not be performing.
The statement read, “This period of rest will be an opportunity for the members of BTS, who have relentlessly driven themselves towards their goal since their debut, to recharge and prepare to present themselves anew as musicians and creators. This will also provide them with a chance to enjoy the ordinary lives of young people in their 20’s, albeit briefly. During this time, the members will rest and recharge in their own personal ways. Should you have a chance encounter with a member of BTS while they are on vacation, we ask that you show consideration for their need to rest and enjoy their private time off.”
The band made its debut in 2013 and has been performing continuously since then.
BTS’ recent Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour, which launched in May, has grossed $99.3 million with a series of U.S. stadium double-headers. K-pop group’s Map of the Soul: Persona album topped the Billboard 200 in March.
Hopefully, their vacation will give the guys a chance to recharge and provide their fans some much needed time to let their vocal cords finally heal.
