Rami Malek is in talks to join fellow Oscar winner Denzel Washington in Warner Bros.’ crime thriller ‘The Little Things’
After winning Best Actor at Academy Awards for his performance as legendary Queen frontman Freddie Mercury for 20th Century Fox’s BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, it’s been announced that MR. ROBOT breakout star Rami Malek is in talks to star alongside Denzel Washington in an upcoming crime thriller titled ‘Little Things’.
Lee Hancock will be writing and directing the film, he previously directed “The Blind Side” and “The Highwaymen”.
The story follows a burned-out Kern County deputy sheriff named Deke, played by Denzel. He has teamed up with a crack LASD detective (Malek), Baxter, to reel in a wily serial killer.
Deke’s nose for the “Little Things” proves eerily accurate, but his willingness to circumvent the rules embroils Baxter in a soul-shattering dilemma. Meanwhile, Deke must wrestle with a dark secret from his past.
After Rami completes the production for the upcoming James Bond film ‘Bond 25’, ‘Little Things’ is expected to go on floor.
Little Things would mark another big role for Malek after winning the best actor Oscar for playing Freddie Mercury in box office hit “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
After that Malek joined the cast of ‘Bond 25‘, where he will essay the role of a bad-to-the-bone villain for which producers had been chasing him for months.
The film will also see Daniel Craig as Bond and Lea Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, and Ben Whishaw reprising their roles from the 2015 hit ‘Spectre.
He is also currently finishing the final season of his USA Network drama “Mr. Robot.”
