Snyder Cut plans to give closure to long-standing Robin’s suit mystery from Batman Vs Superman
Snyder Cut has been coughing up positive surprises for the DC fans since its announcement in April, this year. DC is redeeming itself big time by not keeping any stone unturned for the Justice League. Zack Snyder has been working on finishing his fiercely-anticipated cut of the 2017 Justice League. With Joker’s inclusion in the Snyder Cut, the long-standing Robin’s death Easter egg from Batman Vs Superman might find salvation.
Every day there is new and exciting news pouring in about the Snyder Cut. It’s just a gift that keeps on giving. As per Digital Spy, Zack Snyder will be hinting a bit more about the death of Robin by Joker in JL. Fans would remember an easter egg of Robin’s costume at display in the Batcave during Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. Yeah, we may get to see some more of that.
A Death in Batfleck family
Zack Snyder’s BvS is infamous for creating a rift between the casual moviegoers and the ardent DC fans. On one side, DC fans were ecstatic about the comic accuracy of the Dawn of Justice battles; others were just clueless. In all honesty, it did affect the business perspective of the movie. Many critics complained about the loopholes and unanswered sub-plots.
Anyway, in Batman vs Superman, there’s a scene of a battle-hardened Bruce was staring at Robin’s suit in his Batcave. This scene caught on with many DC fans. Why? Because it was an ode to one of the most iconic DC comic books in Batman history, A Death In The Family.
In the comics, Batman’s close aid Robin aka Jason Todd is murdered by the Joker. Joker kills Todd with a crowbar, and it is said to have changed Batman forever. Batman takes Todd to Lazarus Pit, and Jason resurrects as the Red Hood in the comics. Zack Snyder revealed that in BvS, it was not Jason Todd’s costume, but it was Dick Grayson. Yes, Batman’s first Robin, who becomes Nightwing in the comics.

Jared Leto’s Joker killed Dick Grayson?
Oh yes, Leto’s Joker was the one that murdered Dick Grayson. It was not that tough to guess with the message Joker had for Batman etched all over Robin’s costume. But Zack Snyder has said that he will dwell a little deeper about Robin’s death in JL by the hands of Joker. As we know, Jared Leto is back as Joker in the Snyder-verse. So, there is a possibility of having Batfleck knocking out Joker’s teeth in the Justice League if the plot further opens.
As per the old DCEU, Joker and Harley Quinn were together responsible for killing Robin. Bruce kept the costume in his Batcave so that he can remind himself of his biggest failure, and nothing like this ever happens again. But, there’s a twist in the tale. Snyder has also made it clear that right now, he has no plans of introducing the character of Red Hood in the DCEU, but he did have a robin in mind. No, it was not Jason Todd or Damian Wayne, but it was Carrie Kelly. Carrie Kelly was Robin in the Dark Knight comic series, which was the comic book series from where Snyder got his inspiration for BvS.
There’s a big playing field for DC now. They have all the tools they need to uniquely launch their Extended Universe. Maybe, they can include the whole Bat-family fighting together in the DCEU future. Zack Snyder, being a comic book fan himself, is keen on maintaining the comic-book accuracy in his movies and characters. And do we not just love him for this.
