Wouldn’t Joey Tribbiani Be A Better Replacement Than Ashton Kutcher For Charlie Sheen
When Charlie Sheen died in the 8th season of Two and a Half Men, the show ranking clearly went down. In fact, even Ashton Kutcher’s popularity could not save it! Now we wonder if Matt Le Blanc could have been a better replacement given the similarities between Joey and Charlie.
All those who are a fan of Two and a Half Men were clearly heartbroken when they had to say goodbye to the dear uncle Charlie. The show might have done a great job in recruiting Ashton Kutcher as the replacement. But the show rankings and rating stated otherwise. Yes, even Ashton Kutcher could not save the show ratings from falling. So who could have saved it? May we suggest an idea!
Enter Fan And Friends Favourite Joey
Fans of Charlie Sheen might say no one could have done justice to his character. But let’s say if we were to bring Joey Tribbiani played by Matt Le Blanc in Friends as a replacement of Charlie Sheen, wouldn’t it be a good idea? Here’s why…
For starters, we have enjoyed Le Blanc for over 10 years in American sitcom Friends and later in his own series Joey. Fans loved him every time he was on screen in the popular TV series. Further, he never gave up his dream of becoming an actor even if it meant getting only small roles. While for Charlie, the success was pure luck but he did believe in himself at all times.
We love how both these characters are free-spirited and always listen to their hearts (well, not always just their heart but you get our point right?) The shows would not have been as popular without them. Clearly, we could see that when Charlie’s character was killed in season 8. Also, Joey and Charlie Sheen both have some of our favourite character flaws!
The playboy charm
While Charlie Sheen is smart and creative, Joey is innocent and caring. But one quality that remains common between both of these characters is their undeniable charm on women. They’re quite a playboy, eh? (How you doin?!)
Both know how to win a conversation
Joey has excellent one-liners and comebacks while Charlie knows his way out of possibly anything. Well, this leads to the conclusion that both of them know to win a conversation or an argument with their antics and quirks.
Friday night is pizza night!
While these characters might not exactly be similar given Charlie is cunning and Joey is incredibly naive. One thing which is similar is their love for pizza. That too, in front of the TV on a Friday night!
Joey’s character is naive almost childlike at times whereas Charlie is extremely street smart. Nonetheless, both Blanc and Sheen brought comedic relief to their respective characters. Imagine, Jake and Joey, enjoying a conversation?
So seems like Joey could have been a good replacement for Two and a Half Men after all. Not a very glorious version of Charlie but maybe a cute and innocent version of him. Someone should have told this to CBS, isn’t it?
