The mobile version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, popularly known as PUBG Mobile, is one of the most played games of 2020. In fact, it became the topmost played games on PlayStore, due to high downloads during the quarantine. But is worth playing?
Think about PUBG like role-playing AVATAR, and on mobile. When you can replicate yourself from the game perspective, you are better most competitive in that scenario. An on-ground battle provides another world to explore that a player would not be able to explore, otherwise. Battle Royale is an online multiplayer video game genre that blends the survival, exploration, and scavenging elements of a survival game with last-man-standing gameplay.
PUBG: Not just another shoot and play
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is based on a multiplayer online battle royale gameplay developed by a PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of Bluehole. PUBG, however, is not only about battle royale but also about connecting players in the virtual world to discover their competitive expanse.
It all revolves around scavenger-survival concept, which is incredibly simple yet complex to hone individual skills, game after game. Think of it as a mere Bear Grylls’ approach to hunt and survive in any deserted area you land upon. Developed by Tencent Games, in collaboration with Lightspeed and Quantum StudiosPUBG Mobile has been optimised very well for the smaller screen. The multiplayer battle royale game, gives an instant attraction to experienced, as well as first time gamers.
The developers have taken mobile gaming at par with the PC games, without compromising graphics and real-feel on the mobile version. In fact, most of the players prefer Mobile version rather than gaming on PC. Portability and compatibility have given much anticipated rise to this game. The intriguing visual, new maps, great locations, high-demand loots and even better weaponry to aim and shoot.
Surprised much, this game has a lot to offer, from similar edition of modern combat that plays a campaign along with multiplayer intervention, it aims to have meaningful game formats with battle royale approaches. While some games are a tad faster with low-sized alternatives to the famed multiplayer battle royale games, others are not as action-packed as Tencent’s magnum opus.
To overcome the fear of losing players to low-sized alternatives. PUBG has sourced a substitute that is PUBG lite, with 60 players match rather than 100. PUBG Mobile is one of the best-looking shooting games on small screen and its added features had made this game even more interesting.
Survival is not the only way to win
In the first line of battle jolt, over 100 players are dropped on an island and have to survive until the game ends with last player remaining.Using weapons (AR, bolt action sniper rifles, automatic sniper rifles, SMG, Shotguns, Light machine guns, pistols) anything among them they could find to kill others.
As the game gets in the next level, the playable area in the island shrinks and anyone outside of it dies automatically. Players have to remain within the circled area and that is what makes the game more challenging. Players can hide in any location which is of course within the circle and wait for other players to show up while they can shoot them under stealth.
While you may be sure to win if you are killing people with the heavy armour you may got lucky with. But on the defensive zone, Players can arm themselves with weapons and protective gear (helmet, bullet-proof vest, bag) they find on the island.Though you can just hide yourself and be within the limit of blue-zone to earn yourself a winning card, but the more you kill, the more chances you have to be the last man-standing.
From a personal point of view, the best gun so far is M416 and AKM, an assault rifle known for its extreme stopping power.
