Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan to recreate this famous 90s song in the upcoming film ‘Coolie No. 1′
While Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan are already excited to kickstart the remake of the 1995 film Coolie No 1, the actors have now got another chance to be thrilled as they will be recreating a classic song ‘Main To Raste Se Ja Raha Tha’ from the original film.
‘Mai To Raste Se Ja raha tha’ another 90’s song to be recreated
Director David Dhawan has confirmed that Main Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha, which featured Govinda and Karisma Kapoor, will be remixed to serve the taste of the present generation and will be used in the film.
“It is an important song for our film, and it has the heart. But times have changed so I am going to picturise it very differently with Varun and Sara,” David said, adding that the song’s recall value will play a huge role in the film’s success.
The original song was shot in Bangalore. Reminiscing about it, David Dhawan pointed out that they had found a lot of bhel puri stalls in a place in Bangalore, and since it is one of the most popular street foods in Mumbai, the song was shot to show the lead pair exploring the streets of Maximum City.
