Shah Rukh Khan is in talks with ace producer Sajid Nadiadwala for his upcoming project
While Akshay Kumar and Vicky Kaushal left Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘LOL: Land Of Lungi’ courtesy date issues, reports claim that the makers have now approached Shah Rukh Khan to play the lead in the flick. Although Shah Rukh Khan hasn’t announced any new films, there have been several reports making the rounds about his upcoming projects.
Will Shah Rukh Khan star in Sajid Nadiawala’s upcoming ‘Land Of Lungi’
Now as per a report by Pinkvilla, Shah Rukh is in a discussion with filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala for a film and if things fall into place, this will be their first collaboration ever. A source revealed to the entertainment portal, “Sajid and Shah Rukh had been discussing making a film for quite some time. Their collaboration has been on the cards and now, it’s mostly happening. Sajid has offered ‘LOL Land of Lungi’ to Shah Rukh Khan. It’s a masala actioner that’s a remake of Ajith starrer Veeram. The film will be directed by Farhad Samji.”
Shah Rukh, who had taken a small break after ‘Zero’, has been busy hearing scripts. “He has not given a green signal to any project. It’s true he is in talks for LOL but he has not taken a call on the same yet. He’s reading all the scripts that are coming to him and will decide on his next project in a few months from now. He has watched Veeram and liked how the makers have spun off the Hindi version. LOL is not only messy but is extremely funny and entertaining.”
The film ‘LoL: Lands and Of Lungi’ was originally being planned with Akshay Kumar who decided to move on to another project under the same banner (Housefull 4) and then, conversations were also initiated with Vicky Kaushal for the same reason. But now, with Shah Rukh being approached, it’s definitely become a bigger project for sure.
