‘Prasthanam’ remake of 2010 hit Telugu film will star Sanjay Dutt
After ‘Kalank’, actor-producer Sanjay Dutt is all set to come on the big screen again with the film ‘Prasthanam’. The film is a remake of 2010 hit Telgu film ‘Prasthanam’. After intriguing fans with the first looks from the film, the makers have now unveiled a motion poster that also reveals the release date.

Sanjay Dutt took to Instagram to reveal the release date of the film. He wrote: “A legacy based on power, greed, love & human fallacies! #Prasthanam releasing on 20th September 2019”
The motion poster has Dutt’s voiceover stating, “Haq doge toh Ramayan shuru hogi, cheenoge to Mahabharat.” Watch the post here –
The original film narrated the story of a politician and the complex relations prevailing in his family. According to a recent report, the team has not made any significant changes in the Hindi version.

In an earlier interview with PTI, director Deva Katta revealed that he has not made any significant changes in the Hindi version. He said, “Fundamentally there are no changes to the story at all, except refining and polishing the canvas and all that. It is very relevant. I have rewritten the screenplay and the dialogues were provided by Farhad.”
Earlier, Sanjay took to Twitter to share pictures from the first shooting day of the film. He wrote, “The first day, first shot of @prasthaanamfilm. Even now, I feel excited about such new beginnings. All the best, team.”
The film ‘Prasthanam’ will also star Manisha Koirala, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Ali Fazal, Amayra Dastur, and Satyajeet Dubey. It is being directed by Deva Katta. Moreover, the film is scheduled to release on September 20 this year.
