After Inshallah shelved, Anand L Rai offers Salman Khan a comedy-drama film with double role for Eid 2020
In his film career of 31 years, Salman Khan has played double role in only two films, one of it was Judwaa released in 1997. Directed by David Dhawan, it was an out and out comedy. Interestingly, Varun Dhawan starred in the remake of this film titled Judwaa 2. And now, we hear that Salman Khan is looking out for an interesting script so that he releases a film on Eid 2020 after Inshallah has been shelved. As per the latest report, director Anand L Rai is keen to sign a movie with Salman. Everyone is keen on watching Salman Khan with Anand L Rai.
Salman Khan doesn’t have a fully ready script right now and has been in talks with many filmmakers during last week, to finalise a project which he can announce on Eid.
A source close to an entertainment portal reports,
“When Anand heard that Inshallah wasn’t happening with Salman, he approached him with a script which he will direct. While it’s a comedy, it will have its unique emotional twist, as Anand’s films have. If they do decide to go ahead with this movie, Anand and Salman will both produce it. Both are discussing the script, dates and other issues and everything is under wraps right now. Once Dabangg 3 gets complete, Salman can give his dates to any movie he wants. Anand’s movie is the comedy that everyone has been speculating about.”
About the project, the source revealed, “It’s an out-and-out comedy action entertainer and a con story based in Uttar Pradesh. Like Judwaa, Salman’s character (if he gives his nod to it) will have a double role. Imagine, two not one Salman Khans on Eid!”
However, Salman Khan hasn’t given his nod yet for this film, but it would be a dream come true for fans if he starred in the film. Anand L Rai’s last film is ‘Zero’ starred superstar Shah Rukh Khan. And now, we hope Salman signs this film and it comes out as big entertainer.
Furthermore, Akshay Kumar too has moved the release date for his film Laxmi Bomb to Eid 2020 so Salman Khan has competition waiting.
