After Inshallah shelved, Salman Khan is now speculated to return with old friend Katrina Kaif for the next Eid 2020 release
Salman Khan is currently busy with his three upcoming releases that are scheduled until 2020. Apart from Dabangg 3, the actor will also be seen in Kick 2 with the same co-actor in the original one Jacqueline Fernandez. Earlier the actor had scheduled Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah with Alia Bhatt for Eid 2020 but now the project has been shelved. And his latest movie is reportedly a remake of Korean film ‘The Outlaws’ released in 2017. Now, according to the latest reports, the Hindi remake of The Outlaws will be released on Eid 2020.
Salman Khan refused to work with Priyanka Chopra Jonas, might work with his old friend Katrina Kaif for his Eid 2020 release
According to the reports, the makers of the Hindi remake are currently looking for a leading lady for the film. A source said, “Bhai plays a cop again in the Eid 2020 release. This would be two back-to-back releases Dabangg 3 followed by the Eid release, where Salman plays a cop. To avoid a sense of sameness his team members suggested Priyanka Chopra since she has no films on hand after The Sky Is Pink releases in October.”
But Salman Khan refused to work with Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The source further said, “At such short notice the choice was between Jacqueline Fernandez and Katrina Kaif. With Jacqueline, Salman is already doing Kick 2. He might as well give Katrina the Eid gift.”
The spat between Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Salman Khan happened after Priyanka left Bharat. Salman even slammed Priyanka in many of his events and interviews while promoting Bharat. On being slammed, again and again, Priyanka during the promotions of her latest film, The Sky Is Pink finally said, “The only thing I would say is if there was a reaction required, you’d have had it by now.”
So, with Priyanka not being on the list, it looks like Salman Khan might cast Katrina Kaif opposite him next year too. Salman and Katrina have previously also collaborated on films that released on EID such as Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Bharat among others which were blockbusters. The Hindi remake of The Outlaws will be directed by Prabhudheva which marks the director’s third collaboration with Salman Khan.
