Sidharth Malhotra shared his first look from the upcoming film ‘Shershaah’ based on the India Army soldier Captain Vikram Batra, PVC.
Sidharth Malhotra will soon be back in uniform to take on the role of Kargil War hero Vikram Batra, in the upcoming biopic ‘Shershaah’. With filming currently underway, the hunk shared a photo of himself locked, loaded, and ready to fire as he heads into the warzone.

Taking to his Instagram stories, the actor shared a photo that saw him in his military camouflage uniform with a helmet on his head.


Also, Sidharth Malhotra took to his social media handles to share a couple of pictures of him enjoying a session of cricket from the sets of the film ‘Shershaah’. Sporting a casual look, the actor seems pretty happy as he plays the game with the team. Sharing the pictures, Sidharth wrote, “What weekends look like while you are shooting in the remote areas! In between shots for #Shershaah #ShootLife.”
More about the film, ‘Shershaah’ will be based on the life of the Indian Army Captain Vikram Batra, who was honoured with the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery in the 1999 Kargil War. He reportedly led one of the toughest operations in mountain warfare in Indian history.
Interestingly, Sidharth Kapoor will be seen in a double role in ‘Shershaah’ as Captain Vikram Batra and his twin brother Vishal Batra. In an earlier interview with IndiaToday.in, the actor opened up about how the Kargil hero’s family wanted him in the biopic.
“It was through Shabbir Boxwala, who was the original producer and knows the family really well. They gave him the rights to make a story on their loved one. I met them around 2.5-3 years ago in a very casual meeting and found out the story about him. Since then, I have met them multiple times and we started shooting the film,” he said.
Sidharth Malhotra has been training hard for the film. The actor said that this is toughest role in his life and no amount of training could prepare him to play such a complex character.
‘Shershaah’ also features Kiara Advani as Dimple Cheema, Vikram Bhatt’s fiancee. the film will hit scheduled to hit the big screens in 2020. It is produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Shabbir Boxwala, Ajay Shah and Himanshu Gandhi.
