Priyanka Chopra’s production, Marathi film Paani, won the Best Film on Environment Conservation at National Film Awards
Priyanka Chopra home production Purple Pebble Pictures wins the 66th National Film Awards for Marathi film Paani under the Best Film category on Environment Conservation.
Priyanka took her Instagram to congratulate all the people involved in the making of Paani, Priyanka wrote, “I’m so proud to have produced a special film like #Paani. Congratulations to the entire team at @purplepebblepictures @madhumalati @siddharthchopra89 for our second National Award. Big congratulations to @adinathkothare and the entire creative team for bringing this challenging and relevant film to its fruition.”
Talking about the film, Priyanka wrote, “#Paani was our humble attempt at using entertainment to bring focus to the seriousness of the water crisis, which is of grave concern the world over. We are so honoured that the film had an impact and that our efforts have been recognised.”
Priyanka’s husband Nick Jonas also took to social media to congratulate his wife on the big win. He wrote, “So proud of @priyankachopra and the entire @PurplePebblePic team for their national award for #Paani congrats to everyone involved!”
Paani is helmed by Adinath Kothare. It features Marathi stars Subodh Bhave and Kishor Kadam in the lead roles.
