Paresh Rawal locked as Farhan Akhtar’s coach in his upcoming sports-drama
According to a report, Paresh Rawal has been roped in to play the role of Farhan’s boxing coach, “The formalities were locked in April and Paresh has been training with Farhan in Mumbai for over a month now.” Source added.
Actor Farhan Akhtar took to his social media handle to share the news. “Thrilled and privileged to collaborate with an absolute giant of an actor. So looking forward.. @SirPareshRawal 😊❤️🙏🏼#Toofan”
Director Omprakash Mehra said, “Every director has a bucket list of actors and Paresh bhai was on the top of mine. I am absolutely thrilled to have him entering the Toofan family. Both Paresh and Farhan are great actors and both their characters are author-backed and well sketched out. There is a huge offering in store for the audience.”
“Anjum Rajabali has written this very endearing love story of a boxer, it’s not a real-life figure but a fictitious character. What I liked the most about it (the story) was that it has a new voice. It’s set among the lower middle class. Boxing is not a rich man’s sport, anywhere in the world.” The director further added.
Moreover, the film is likely to go on the floors by the end of August.
