Tannishtha Chatterjee-directed Roam Rome Mein will premiere at the Busan International Film Festival this year. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead role.
Actor Tannishtha Chatterjee’s directorial debut ‘Roam Rome Mein’ is all set for its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival. The psychological drama, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead, will be screened under ‘A Window on Asian Cinema’ section.

In a statement, Tannishtha Chatterjee, who also features in the film, said, “Nawaz and I had ‘Dekh Indian Circus’ in Busan a few years back. That film won both of us a National award. In the last few years I’ve had many films in Busan as an actor but each time something came up and I never could make it to the festival. So, this is a very special moment where I am doing the world premiere of my debut film in a festival which I have always wanted to go. I love Korean cinema, I love Korean food and I am really looking forward to premiering the film in Busan.”
The Sacred Games actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, took to his social media handle to express his excitement on the selection of ‘Roam Rome Mein’ at the film festival. He wrote, “Excited to announce that my movie #RoamRomeMein, is the official selection for #BusanInternationalFilmFestival! The movie also marks the directorial debut of my dear friend @TannishthaC (sic).”
Several Bollywood celebrities congratulated the director and actor for the selection of their film at the Busan International Film Festival 2019. National Award-winning actress Divya Dutta congratulated the director-actor duo and wrote, “Congrats my dear friends !! Lots of love @Nawazuddin_S @TannishthaC.”
Riteish Deshmukh congratulated his friend Ravi Walia (the producer of the film). He wrote, “Congratulations!! my friend @Ravi_Risingstar thrilled to know that #RoamRomeMein has been selected for the #BusanInternationalFilmFestival best wishes to the entire team @Nawazuddin_S @TannishthaC @ErosNow #FrancescoApollini #AndreaScarduzio #ValentinaCorti @RidhimaLulla (sic).”
‘Roam Rome Mein’, a psychological drama, also features Valentina Corti, Isha Talwar, Francesco Apolloni, UrBano Barberini, Pamela Villoresi, Andrea Scarduzio.
Besides ‘Roam Rome Mein’, a number of films will be screened at the festival, including Gitanjali Rao’s animated feature ‘Bombay Rose’, Suman Ghosh’s ‘Aadhaar’, Gurvinder Singh’s ‘Bitter Chestnut’, Alankrita Sh
Busan Film Festival, which is scheduled to run from October 3 to 12, will open with The Horse Thieves, a film from Kazakhstan.
