According to a report, Karan Johar was keen to rope in Shahid Kapoor for ‘Dear Comrade’ Hindi remake after the super success of Kabir Singh. But Shahid has declined the offer as he is not keen to do another Deverakonda film.
Moreover, Since the time, Karan Johar announced that he has bought the rights of Vijay Deverakonda starrer ‘Dear Comrade’, speculations of the leading cast started making the rounds. It was reported that the filmmaker might rope in Dhadak duo Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in main roles. However, Karan rubbished the rumors by tweeting, “All the best and big success to the team of #DearComradeOnJuly26th! Also a CLARIFICATION! No lead actors have been considered or approached for the film as yet! The planning for this lovely film is underway!”
Meanwhile, ‘Dear Comrade’ couldn’t make an impressive mark as people had expectations for it. As of now, Shahid Kapoor hasn’t signed any film post the success of Kabir Singh but reports suggest that the actor is in talks with Raj Kumar Gupta for a film but no official confirmation on the same.
