Kabir Singh’s director, Sandeep Reddy, might also be in talks with Ranbir Kapoor for his upcoming crime-drama which is to be produced by Bhushan Kumar
Talk about some exciting news! If the latest buzz is anything to go by then South filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga is in talks with Ranbir Kapoor for his next Hindi film. Yes, turns out after the phenomenal success of Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh, which marked his directorial debut in Bollywood, Sandeep is really kicked about exploring more genres with different actors in Bollywood.

Speaking of which, Sandeep Reddy is said to have recently met producer Bhushan Kumar for the same and the latter has agreed to produce his next. However, considering Ranbir Kapoor already has a lot of films in his kitty, it’s left to see how will he accommodate this one with Sandeep.
Talks about Casting
A source revealed, “Sandeep narrated a story idea to Bhushan, who has liked it and will produce the film. They met yesterday to discuss logistics and casting. Ranbir has liked the concept and they will be meeting this week to discuss it further. Of course, even if Ranbir gives the nod, they will not be able to roll immediately because he has to wrap up two films, Brahmastra and Shamshera, first and is committed to a third, Luv Ranjan’s next with Ajay and Deepika Padukone, which is being produced by Luv and Bhushan.”
Moreover, Ranbir Kapoor recently shot for Shamshera with Vaani Kapoor in Ladakh. Shamshera is produced by Yash Raj Films and will feature Ranbir in a double role. The film is slated to release next year.
On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor is also shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt. This movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy. Produced by Karan Johar, Brahamstra is slated to release in the summer of 2020.
