Not many people know that Deepika Padukone was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to Konkani-speaking parents and was brought up in Bangalore. The actress also played state-level Badminton till class 10th.
Deepika had said once that she was awkward in social as a child and she did not have many friends. She was very mich in focusing on a career in badminton. Deepika got her acting lessons from veteran actor Anupam Kher. She also joined dance classed from the famous dance-choreographer, Shiamak Davar.

Her first film was not Om Shanti Om
Not many people know that she debuted with Kannada film titled, ‘Aishwarya’ in 2006. The romantic-comedy was a remake of Tamil film, Manmudhudhu. Moreover, the film was received positive reviews from the critics.
Later she got an offer in Himesh Reshammiya’s famous album, ‘Naam Hai Tera’.

Deepika Lights up Ambegaon Village
