Ali Fazal will be next seen in the film ‘Death on the Nile’ opposite Gal Gadot. The film is a screen adaptation of Agatha Christie’s book of the same title ‘The Death on the Nile’
This is not the first time that Ali would be featuring in a Hollywood film. He has made a special appearance in Furious 7 back in 2017 and starred in the lead opposite Academy Award winner Judi Dench in Victoria & Abdul.
According to a source, they will begin filming on 30th September. “Ali left for London last week and has been prepping for his part with the rest of the actors ever since. The film will be shot across the United Kingdom and Ali will be there for around two months before returning to Mumbai,” the source told the daily.
In an interview with an entertainment portal, the ‘Prassthanam’ actor revealed that he had watched the previous adaptation of the Death On The Nile way back and even raised his voiced to be a part of Kenneth Branagh directorial. “I’ve read the novel and had watched the earlier adaptation a long time ago. It was a great ensemble and now we are revisiting that great masterpiece. I feel blessed because it’s in Sir Kenneth Branagh’s hands. Also, for me the most essential prep is to get to know my costumes and look, once that part is sorted, everything else will follow. I have been focussing solely on that for the past one week.”
“We have a dialect teacher on set for a bunch of us so we are being trained for the accents. I cannot reveal just yet what kind of accents only because I want that to be a surprise,” Ali added
Death on the Nile will chronicle Poirot’s vacation in Egypt where he discovers a murder on the banks of river Nile as a love triangle goes awry.
Armie Hammer and Letitia Wright are a part of the cast.
