Rajasthan government has approved ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) free in the state.
Good news for the makers of ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar starrer has been free from the state Goods and Services Tax (SGST) in Rajasthan. Saand Ki Aankh based on a real-life story of two elderly women, 86-years-old Chandro Tomar and 81-years-old Prakashi Tomar, who lives in the village. The grannies struggle hard to learn shooting. Their efforts help them to achieve unforgettable victory in the field of sports with numerous medals in different competitions.

The film which promotes women empowerment has now been free from state GST in Rajashthan. Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot on 10 October took to his twitter handle to announce the news.
Hearing the news, Taapsee Pannu took to Twitter to express her happiness and thanked Rajashthan CM Ashok Gehlot for approving the proposal.
She wrote, “Thank you so much sir this gives us so much encouragement and strength to keep moving ahead in the direction of empowerment. Your support is extremely valuable in this journey.”
Despite all odds, they won 352 medals each in the course of their professional life as sharpshooters. Moreover, the story of the film ‘Saand Ki Aakh’ is recently praised by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu.
Earlier also the Rajasthan government allowed state GST free for the film ‘Super-30’. The film was based on the theme of free coaching being provided to students from lower backgrounds to help them prepare for the IIT exams, as well as for ‘Padman’, which promoted menstrual hygiene.
