Article 15 recently came out with their first trailer, which portrayed the Brahmin communities from Uttar Pradesh as the one community that is the root cause to most of the recent social crimes.
While the trailer went viral, the Brahmin communities showed anger on the film.
From comedy to social satire, Ayushman Khurana has done it all perfectly, and now he is all set to come forth in the role of a cop for the first time in the movie “Article 15” which is based on true life stories.

But the trailer does hold what the movie is actually about and the trailer was just a snippet of the larger picture.
In an interview with the DNA, Ayushman Khurana requested people to watch the film first and then comment on it. “Yes, it’s hard-hitting and it will make you uncomfortable, but it’s a real movie. It’s an investigative drama and a relevant film for India and its youth,”
Ayushman Khurana requested people not to pass judgments before the movie hit the screens, and said: “Our movie does not take any sides, it has no intention to showcase any community in a bad light and has been certified by the CBFC, which has its own set of guidelines.” The film doesn’t focus on one particular incident but it is based on a number of similar incidents.
‘Article 15’ takes into account a section of the Constitution of India which states that there has to be no discrimination against anyone based on caste, creed, religion, gender or any other basis.
He shared a song from ‘Article 15’ with a caption that read- “A song that our society needs right now!”
The film also stars Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Nassar, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Shubrajyoti Bharat, Ronjini Chakraborty, and Zeeshan Ayyub, and is directed by Anubhav Sinha. The movie is all set to hit the cinemas on June 28.
