Vijay Deverakonda refused Karan Johar’s offer for ‘Dear Comrade’ Hindi remake
Previously, we got the news that Karan Johar bought the rights of Vijay Deverakonda’s latest release Dear Comrade for Rs. 6 crores, even before it hit the screens.

Apparently, Karan Johar has been trying hard to rope Vijay Deverakonda for a Bollywood debut with Dharma Productions but the South superstar is content with his Telugu repertoire.
As per a report, Karan Johar offered Vijay a whopping Rs 40 crore to feature in the Hindi remake of Dear Comrade, but the actor has refused the proposal.
Vijay Deverakonda said, I think Mumbai is too fast for me. I like to do things on my own terms.”
In his earlier interviews, Vijay Deverakonda had made it clear that he is not keen to feature in the Hindi remake of his Telugu films and tell the same story twice. The actor was also offered to take the lead role in Kabir Singh, the remake of his hit Telugu drama Arjun Reddy, but Vijay Deverakonda refused that offer too.
The actor had told an entertainment channel, “Doing Hindi (films) is interesting but I want to do something that is Telugu and Hindi. Something that works back home and here. I can’t see myself shifting here at an apartment as my friends are back home. I love the laid back, lazy lifestyle. I can’t work with 5 guys every day photographing me. It serves the purpose, but I don’t think I would like it every day and I think Mumbai is too fast for me. I like to do things on my own terms.”
Well, let just wait and see which Bollywood actor will take Vijay Deverakonda’s place for ‘Dear Comrade’ Hindi remake.
