Rani Mukharji and Abhishek Bachchan’s 2005 hit film ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ will reportedly get a sequel after 14 long years
Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukharji’s 2005 blockbuster ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ is reportedly getting a sequel soon. The duo will also reunite on screen for the film. The sequel will be titled ‘Bunty Aur Babli Again’ and it is set to go on the floors by the next month.

A Pinkvilla report stated, “Unlike Bunty Aur Babli, the second installment will not have just Rani and Abhishek. There will be two pairs of actors with a Jodi from the younger generation of actors joining the two main leads from the original. The story has been written in a way which requires two leading pairs. It needs to be seen if Amitabh Bachchan also reprises his role in the sequel. But as of now, the makers are currently in the process of looking at the Gen-Y actors for the film.”
‘Bunty Aur Babli’ getting a sequel with a new twist
The makers are definitely looking forward to packaging and presenting the film in sync with today’s young audience. The sequel will take a huge leap forward in time. It has now been confirmed that Gully Boy actor, Siddhant Chaturvedi is the new Bunty. The actor became a heartthrob among the younger fans with his electrifying performance as MC Sher in Zoya Akhtar’s film, Gully Boy. The actor has surely bagged his dream role in this Yash Raj film.
Just like the film’s previous rendition, the second installment will also be directed by Shaad Ali. However, as of now, neither the actors nor Shaad Ali has announced his association with the project officially.
