Bollywood Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has once again quit Twitter, citing concerns over threats made to his family members
Film-maker Anurag Kashyap, known for not mincing his words or opinions on Twitter, quits a microblogging platform due threat to the family.
Anurag Kashyap posted two tweets, on Saturday evening, explaining his move, “When your parents start to get calls and your daughter gets online threats you know that no one wants to talk. There isn’t going to be reason or rationale.”
Taking a jibe at the trolls and the idea of ‘new India’, Anurag Kashyap went on to add, “Thugs will rule and thuggery will be the new way of life. Congratulations everyone on this new India and hope you all thrive.”

The director has earlier also tweeted about his daughter receiving threats and had then also tagged the Mumbai Police on the platform. However, in response Police had asked him to lodge a formal complaint. He had reportedly also filed an FIR following that.
While some people have called it a publicity stunt, others have stood by him.
