Hollywood exhibits a keen interest in expressing their movies to the larger than life Indian audience. Which is why it has always sought the help of Bollywood celebs for Hindi dubbing. Recently, the Indian doppelganger of Angelina Jolie – Aishwarya Rai tuned to Instagram sharing her happiness of being the Indian voice of Angelina. Proud Abhishek Bacchan also shared the teaser on Twitter and wrote, “How cool is this!!! @DisneyIndia #MaleficentMistressOfEvil #TheMrs”
The former Miss World is the official voice behind the Hindi version of Anjelina Jolie’s character in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Aishwarya while sharing the film’s teaser wrote: “Happy to be part of the DISNEY Family”. In the teaser, she can be seen giving everybody chills down their spine as she says “Sabne mera pyar dekha hai, ab dekhenge mera gussa, meri nafrat”.
When it comes to winning the hearts of the Indian audience, Hollywood has the best taste for choosing the right voice for their characters. Be it Shahrukh khan’s voice for Mufasa in the Lion King or Ranveer Singh’s voice for Deadpool 2, Hollywood is right on the ball.

Shahrukh Khan – The Incredibles/Lion King – When the lion king needed somebody for voice, there was no better option but the king of Bollywood himself. However, not just Shahrukh, but his son Aryan Khan also was in-action. While Shahrukh Dubbed for Mufasa, Aryan dubbed for Simba. Once Shahrukh and Aryan were done with the dubbing, the King was asked to dub for a scene all over again because of sounding a lot like Aryan. The dubbing experts said that the voice of Shahrukh is similar to Aryan. Therefore, Shahrukh did it all over again.
Ranveer Singh – Deadpool 2 – Soon after the news of Ranveer Singh dubbing for Deadpool was out in the market, his fans could just not keep calm for a while. Many said that Ranveer Singh was the perfect choice for the movie. Ranveer personally loves the character and revealed the real reason for dubbing for Deadpool 2. Ranveer revealed to a leading daily “I thought it would be fun to use foul Hindi language on-screen, to be honest. I just wanted to give gaalis onscreen. That’s the long and short of it”.
Tiger Shroff – Spiderman: Homecoming – The Flying Jatt aka Tiger Shroff was the voice behind the Hindi version of Spider-Man Homecoming. When Tom Holland was told that Tiger is his Hindi voice, his reaction was epic. While interviewing Tom, journalist Rajeev Masand showed him Tiger’s popular video song “Whistle Baja”. Tom was shocked to see Tiger’s amazing dance and even confused him for a singer. Upon seeing him dance so effortlessly, Tom got highly impressed and said “His dancing is really cool. He is a proper dancer. Wow. He is a real dancer”.
Varun Dhavan – Captain America: Civil War – Actor Varun Dhavan has dubbed for Captain America: Civil War’s Hindi version. Chris Evans was interviewed by Rajeev Masand and shown Captain America’s Hindi dubbed dialogues. Chris said that he loved Varun’s dialogues in the movie. However, when the video was shared on social media, fans didn’t take long to realize that Chris was just faking. Fans could make it that he didn’t like Varun’s voice over for the film.
Priyanka Chopra – Jungle Book – The desi girl was approached desperately by Disney India as Siddharth Roy Kapur just needed her voice anyhow. Quantico star said that she almost missed voicing for the villainous snake “Kaa” in The Jungle Book. Priyanka who was busy back then with Quantico was also having Baywatch lined up in the same month. Priyanka revealed that Siddharth Delayed the dubbing for a month so he could have Priyanka completely free for voicing Kaa.
Nana Patekar – Jungle Book – Nana Patekar has earlier lent his voice for the Sherkhan TV series, Jungle Book: the adventures of Mowgli. After lending a voice to Sher Khan, Nana revealed that initially, he said yes to the animated series for money. He was offered Rs 3000 – Rs 5000 for his voice and back then, he desperately was in a need for money. However, this time Nana just wanted to reminisce his good old days.
