Abhay Deol gears up for yet another ‘independent film’ that will go live on OTT platform Zee5 Premium.
Abhay Deol might be seen less on the big screen, after giving ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dubara’, his fans have missed him on the big screen. He has only been featuring in independent films from the past two years. And the actor is all set to release his another independent film yet again. For this, he shared the poster of his upcoming crime-thriller ‘Line Of Descent’ which will go live on the OTT platform, Zee5 Premium.
Abhay Deol starrer ‘Line Of Descent’ is yet another among a series of his independent films.
The actor took to social media and announced that his ‘independent film’ Line of Descent, will release on Zee5 premium. He shared the news with the poster which stars Hollywood actor Brendan Fraser, along with Bollywood actors Neeraj Kabi, Ronit Roy, and Prem Chopra.
Along with the poster, the actor penned down a heartfelt note about how he is happy that one of his independent films is getting the promise of a good release.
Intrestingly, the film will be opening at the NYC South Asian Film Festival. Abhay Deol also added a sweet message about how this film was for his ‘grandmother’.
Talking about the film, it is available in both Hindi and English. Moreover, it has been in production since 2016. In the trailer, Prem Chopra’s patriarch spells out his inheritance to his sons: “shame”. Prithvi (Played by Ronit Roy) wants to put an end to the family’s criminal activities, but his younger brother Sidharth (played by Neeraj Kabi) disagrees. Sidharth starts doing business with an arms dealer (played by Brendar Fraser). Apart from this, Abhay Deol essays the role of a police officer who tries to finish off the family using the brothers’ feud.

‘Line Of Descent’ will premier at the NYC South Asian Film festival. The film is unlikely to get a theatrical release in India but will be released on the ZEE5 premium after its US theatrical release.
