Here are some major highlights from Lakme Fashion Week 2019
The on-going Lakme Fashion Week 2019 was no less than a fashion festival as traditional Indian fabrics were merged with modern silhouettes and designs. Each designer presented their own collections in a rather unique way. From the classic khadi fabric to the art of Dabu printing, the fashion week threw light on the much-forgotten important arts of the traditional Indian fashion scene.
Hardik Pandya turns showstopper at Lakme Fashion Week 2019
Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week 2019. While the Indian cricket team is in West Indies, Hardik has been rested for the tour.
Dressed in a maroon attire, Pandya walked the ramp with actress Lisa Haydon and noted designer Amit Aggarwal.

Athiya Shetty served as a perfect muse as she took our breath away in a monochrome striped saree with ruffles around its hem.
Aavran’s collection was ‘An Ode to Dabu’ which is the traditional mud-resist method of printing. The entire collection was a symphony of craft, textiles and heritage. Angarkhas, wide pyjamas, boxy blouses, tunics, kurtas and Pheran style kurtas gave a wide choice to the ethnic dresser. Closing the show was Bollywood star, Mrunal Thakur who glided in wearing a luxurious ivory lehenga with a long-sleeved peplum blouse with gold motifs.

But Farhan and Shibani were not the only show-stealers last night. Esha Gupta turned heads in a metallic, thigh-high slit ensemble from Pallavi Mohan’s Not So Serious collection.
Also spotted in the limelight was actress Malvika Mohanan in a bold avatar for designer duo Vineet and Rahul. Malvika set the ramp on fire in blue flared pants and bralette styled with a sheer cape.
What stole the show was the colorfully braided hair, chunky jewelry and dark graphics liner that reminded us of traditional tribal ensembles.
