CNN reports that the conversation is preliminary and would evolve over the course of a few weeks. President Trump envisions to reopen the American economy by May 1 with a ‘big bang.’

However, he agrees that New Jersey, New York and Louisiana might find it difficult to reopen given the outbreak cases. The Economy is Trump’s central argument for the re-election campaign.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the US economy has gone worse than the 1929 crash. More than 10 million people by far have filed for unemployment benefits.
Moreover, multiple officials feel that discussion of re-opening the economy might lead to a clash between health and economic advisors. The advisors on both the part have disagreed over the past month on the length of social distancing recommendations.
