The Office’s Jim Halpert aka John Krasinski has nowadays, been in the news for selling his YouTube weekly show ‘Some Good News‘ to Viacom CBS. Despite this, John Krasinski’s name has been floating around for Mr. Fantastic in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a long time. However, this isn’t the first time John was offered to be a part of Marvel.

John Krasinski Was The First Choice To Play Captain America Instead Of Chris Evans:
We all know Chris Evans made his MCU debut with Captain America: The First Avenger. But Chris Evans wasn’t the first choice to play Captain America. Yes, you read that right! It was ‘The Office’s‘ lead actor John Krasinski.
In fact, John Krasinski was looking forward to playing the character of Captain America when he was offered. Though, John lost the golden opportunity. John aka Jim Halpert opened up about losing this role to Chris Evans.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres at ‘The Ellen Show‘ earlier, John discussed how it felt, losing the role of Captain America to Chris Evans. He said “The truth is they hadn’t offered him (Chris) yet, so they were like, ‘let’s see who else is out there’ before they offered it to Chris Evans. I went in and I tested for Captain America. I got to wear the suit which was really fun. This is a true story”
John Krasinski Blames Chris Hemsworth For Ruining His Marvel Audition:
During John’s appearance on The Ellen show, he also revealed the actual reason for losing Captain America’s role. The actor blamed it was Chris Hemsworth who screwed his chances of being Captain America.
On this topic, Krasinski further said “I was putting the suit on. And the guy was like, this is really momentous, and I said, yes! And I was putting the suit on, and I was halfway up, not wearing any other clothes other than this… and right at that moment, Chris Hemsworth walked by, and he was like, you look good, mate. And I was like, nope. You know what? It’s fine. We don’t have to do this… He was just, like, jacked. He’s like, you’re going to look great in the suit, and I was like, don’t make fun of me Hemsworth! And so I just walked away right there.”
Well, it seems like John Krasinski regrets losing the biggest opportunity of his career right here because of a rushed and momentous decision.
