Netflix’s most-viewed original series ‘Orange Is The New Black’ protagonist Piper Chapman aka Taylor Schilling confirms she’s gay. The actress confirmed this through an Instagram story which she had reshared while celebrating the ‘Pride weekend’.

The actress reshared the photo on her IG story confirming she’s dating musical and visual artist Emily Ritz. Schilling’s sexuality has been often debated over the years, but the actress had decided to keep it private.

Taylor’s character in Netflix’s ‘Orange Is The New Black’ is interestingly about a woman who falls in love with another woman in federal prison. Taylor’s character Piper Chapman essays the role of a woman sharing a complex relationship with Alex Vause played by Laura Prepon.
The show ran for seven seasons between 2013-2019 garnering 16 Emmy Award and six Golden Globe nominations.
According to a website, Taylor and Emily met through a mutual friend last year and their relationship grew fonder with time, taking a romantic turn.
