In the biggest breakup of the decade, ‘Señorita’ hitmakers have called it quits after a whirlwind of romance.
According to reports, the couple has hit the pause button and taking a break from their relationship.
Besides, the couple is individually ‘working on new albums.’ Therefore, ‘need a little space to grow individually.’
SHAWN, CAMILA CALL IT QUITS
The ‘Havana’ hitmaker, 23, and ‘Lost in Japan’ singer, 22, had spent much of the past year together despite their busy careers.
Meanwhile, the two have been ‘self-isolating’ themselves at Cabello’s Miami home. And, instead of Mendes moving back to his California home, they’ve rested their decision in ‘taking some time apart.’
FROM FIRST DATE TO LAST
The A-listed couple had sparked dating rumour on a number of occasions. But, it wasn’t until Shawn and Camila made their romance public in July 2019. And, since then the couple has been inseparable.
“They were in love and were best friends — they still are,” a source reassured.
However, adding, “Nothing really went bad between them; they just realised they need some time apart.”
The heartbreaking news of their ‘potential breakup’ sent fans into a frenzy. In fact, the entire Shawn and Camila fanbase called the Shawmila Empire is in a shock.
The couple has won the American Music Award (AMA) for their single ‘Señorita’ last year in 2019. Meanwhile, Shawn’s last post for Camila was a congratulatory message, ‘I admire you so much, you unbelievable human being. Thank you for being you.’
