The singer has lived in Ireland for nearly 16 years of his life. But the celebrity life is so, that he now keeps shuffling between the UK and LA.
The Irish-born native’s popularity blew up overnight, owing to One Direction’s massive success. The British-Irish boy band has even won a BRIT Award for What Makes You Beautiful in 2012. The song came to be an obsession among teens.
In fact, so much so that if you couldn’t lipsync to the lyrics of this song, you were considered an outcast. Yes, such was the rage!
Meanwhile, the band continued to win 9 Teen Choice Awards in 2014. Therefore, prompting Niall to release his debut single, ‘This Town,’ in 2016. Subsequently, Niall released his first solo album, Flicker, in 2017.
THE X FACTOR
Niall Horan started his singing career while auditioning for the music reality show X Factor in 2010. In fact, the Nice To Meet Ya singer’s fate literally lied in Katy Perry’s hand as co-judge Simon Cowell was under-impressed.
Perry was the deciding vote Niall needed for succeeding into the next round. He eventually earned the “yes” he needed, therefore kickstarting an illustrious career in the music industry.
Even today, not everybody knows that the success of One Direction stemmed from X-Factor’s bootcamp round, when the 4 boys were randomly picked and selected in a group. And, the rest is destiny!

One Direction is a 5-member boy band consisting of – Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomilson. Meanwhile, Zayn quit the band in 2015, leaving One Direction with 4 members.
