‘Never Have I Ever’ star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan has become a fan favourite choice to play Ms. Marvel. However, the young actress denied playing Ms. Marvel but hinted her fans about the character in which she’s interested in.
Since Netflix’s teen drama ‘Never Have I Ever‘ premiered, the lead actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan aka Devi Vishwakumar managed to steal the hearts of her fans with her standout performance in the series and has become fans favourite on social media as the perfect candidate to take on the role of Kamala Khan in the Ms. Marvel TV series. However, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan denied playing the character. But revealed her choice in front of the fans.

Why Maitreyi Ramakrishnan Won’t Play Kamala Khan In Ms. Marvel:
Never Have I Ever Maitreyi Ramakrishnan said she will not play the role of Ms. Marvel despite many of her fans wanted to play the character. The reason she said no to character is that she is not a Pakistani and it would be unfair for her to do the role.
She explains to ET Online, “If there was a Tamil superhero, I wouldn’t want to see a Pakistani girl playing the character. I would say, Really? You couldn’t find anybody who was Tamil? So why would I want to do that to the Pakistani community? That wouldn’t be fair”

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan said no to the Kamala Khan character but she didn’t dismiss the idea of joining a comic book franchise though, she joked about starring in Deadpool 3. “Trust me I’d love to be a superhero. I love Marvel so much. I could be the daughter of Deadpool or his apprentice or something. Maybe Deadpool adopts a South Asian girl. It would make sense, Ryan Reynolds and I would both the Canadian jokes”
Well, looks like Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is just looking for the Tamil characters only. The reason she gave is completely not understandable. Because an actor should be like water so that they can mold their talent or fit into the skin of different characters and stories.
