The comedic actor Fred Willard is known for his roles in movies including ‘Best in Show’, ‘This is Spinal Tap’ and TV sitcoms “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “Modern Family” has died on Friday from natural causes. The comic master has entertained his fans in Modern Family for 13 episodes where he portrayed Frank Dunphy, the father of Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) and grandfather of three Dunphy children, portrayed by Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, and Nolan Gould.

Talking about Willard’s role in the Modern Family, the actor left the show in its last season. In the episode titled “Legacy,” where Phil Dunphy becomes concerned his father (Fred) is suffering from the disease. Later, Fred Willard’s character did pass away from old age in the series.
