Jim Parsons’ character, Sheldon Cooper, earned immense love and fame from the audiences. Lately, the 47-year-old actor explained why he was scared about coming out as gay in front of the world while he was still starring in ‘The Big Bang Theory’.
Jim Parsons says that he wasn’t ashamed of being gay but he was afraid that ‘The Big Bang Theory’ would lose its reputation. He told ‘The Hollywood Reporter‘ that
“So I was scared. I wasn’t scared about losing my job. And I wasn’t scared to the point of denying my sexuality. But I was scared enough to make it my mission not to talk about it. I was scared enough to be nervous the first time I was even nominated for the Emmy. And I was scared that it might cause trouble, for our big television show”.
