The similarities between Diana’s 1995 BBC Interview and Meghan’s Oprah Interview
Of lately, one piece of news that has thrown everyone out of the loop is a shocking revelation in Princess Diana’s 1995 BBC interview. We all know that the interview which was hosted by Martin Bashir dropped a lot of bombshells and was subjected to massive vexation. But a new narrative has unfolded, and reportedly, BBC and the host employed deceitful methods to secure the controversial interview of Princess Diana. And as time paced, yet another descendant of the Royal family pin-pointed over the non-conducive environment in the royal lineage.
What cannot be avoided is the evidentiary similarities between the two interviews that were shot within a gap of almost 30 years. To name a few, both the members of the palace were battling depression, sought help for mental health, suffocated by negative press, expected protection from the Royal family, and stepped away due to lack of family support.
Additionally, Prince Harry in his recently aired documentary named “The Me You Can’t See” speaks about her mother’s tragic demise. He says that his mother was chased to death while she was in a relationship with somebody who wasn’t white. Evidently, Meghan and Prince Harry share the same type of relationship. And he fears the history repeating itself. He also stated that this triggers a sense of potentially losing another woman in his life.
While some are seeing the Royal couple’s steps going towards being Hollywood Royalty, the passing of Prince Philip days after the explosive interview deemed it a sort of PR disaster. Furthermore, the parallels between Meghan and Diana’s were being drawn but the latest report on Martin Bashir’s infamous interview with Lady Diana says, she was lied to for acquiring the interview. Which makes one wonder whether the parallels fit in Meghan’s story anymore?
With this as a conclusion, we hope the rebel of the couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle doesn’t cost them something in the future that they will regret paying.
