Grey’s Anatomy successfully ran for 16 seasons until the pandemic hit the entertainment industry hard. Four episodes of the 16th season are still awaiting filming. Moreover, there is no news about a possible Grey’s Anatomy season 17 as of now.
Amidst all this, Grey’s Anatomy‘s Kim Rivera, who plays the role of Teddy Altman in the show, expressed her disappointment in a recent interview.
Kim Rivera Is Disheartened After Her Role In Grey’s Anatomy Season 16 Was Cut Short
Due to the missing four episodes of the 16th season, the makers of Grey’s Anatomy had to cut short the role of Teddy Altman (Kim Rivera). Originally, Krista Vernoff revealed, the storyline owed Kim Rivera an episode in which the show would have explored Teddy’s perspective.
But the filming of that episode never occurred. In a recent interview with BriefTake, Kim Rivera finally expressed how this made her feel. “I love that Krista said that because I always tell Krista that I totally trust wherever we’re going to go with it because I always know that they’ll bring it full circle.” Krista Vernoff is even more disappointed about cutting short Teddy’s role than Kim Rivera herself.
What’s interesting is that in her interview Kim Rivera talked about the possibility of a season 17 of Grey’s Anatomy with so much positivity.
So, while fans might have been disappointed with her role being cut short, there sure is hope for a next season.
