The entire drama ensued when American singer August Alsina, 27, opened up about his affair with Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith, 48, in an interview with radio host Angela Yee.
The R&B singer Alsina went further on record to mark a statement that drew everybody’s attention to the matter.
Alsina also added that he had ‘Will Smith’s blessings’ for their relationship. And since then, rumours have engulfed the ‘Girls Trip’ actress Jada and husband Will.
Following the massive news, the world of gossip has undergone turmoil with various magazines and people wanting to know the precise truth.
Here’s the truth, in an episode of ‘Red Table Talk’ hosted by husband Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith admitted to getting into an ‘entanglement’ with August.
On July 2, Jada Smith tweeted, “There’s some healing that needs to happen… so I’m bringing myself to The Red Table.”
And so it happened… In the episode of the Facebook Watch series, Jada Smith confessed to being romantically involved with the ‘No Love’ singer, August Alsina.
She said the incident took place near or close to four and a half years ago when Will Smith and Jada Smith’s marriage hit the rocks. Following which she became friends with August and ‘helped him heal’ with his personal issues.
The two later ‘in fact’ became very ‘close friends’ and that’s when the two turned their friendship into a relationship. Finally, taking the cat out of the hat and putting all speculations to a standstill.
DID AUGUST REALLY HAVE WILL SMITH’S BACKING?
Addressing a part of the rumour where singer August Alsina says he had Will Smith’s blessings, Jada Pinkett set the record straight.
Jada said, ‘One of the things I want to clear up was you (Will) giving permission, which the only person who can give permission in that particular circumstance is myself.’
She added, “I think he (August) also wanted to make it clear that he’s not a homewrecker, which he’s not.”
