David Harbour Reveals How Hopper Will Be A Different Man In Stranger Things Season 4
In reference to the Duffer Brothers who are the creators of Stranger Things, David Harbour said,
“So a lot of times we’ll just come up with things. One of the things was like wouldn’t it be cool to have this particular arc with him, so it was something we came up with on the fly. As you’re going you’re like, ‘Can you get a little bigger?’ And you’re like, ‘Yeah, yeah, let’s try that.’ Going into this season it was really important to [lose weight].” Season 4’s Hopper is visibly different in physique than the past Hopper. Jim Hopper was a large man in the first three seasons of Stranger Things. But Season 4 will see him in a “different way” living in a different life.
Resurrection and Beyond
Furthermore, David Harbour continued, “But it happens because of something. Like he’s almost resurrected in this season in a different way and you’ll see, because you may have heard, the end of Season 3, something happens and there is sort of a resurrection. He spent a long time living a very different life.” A popular theory places David Harbour’s character in Russia after his mysterious resurrection for the upcoming season of the Netflix series.
While David Harbour might have just been talking about the changes in Hopper’s appearance, he might have also been hinting at how Hopper is alive. Maybe he underwent a process that changed his appearance!
