In reference to the Duffer Brothers who are the creators of Stranger Things, David Harbour said,
“So a lot of times we’ll just come up with things. One of the things was like wouldn’t it be cool to have this particular arc with him, so it was something we came up with on the fly. As you’re going you’re like, ‘Can you get a little bigger?’ And you’re like, ‘Yeah, yeah, let’s try that.’ Going into this season it was really important to [lose weight].” Season 4’s Hopper is visibly different in physique than the past Hopper. Like he’s almost resurrected in this season in a different way and you’ll see, because you may have heard, the end of Season 3, something happens and there is sort of a resurrection.
