SEARCH CONCLUDES; ACTRESS CONFIRMED DEAD AT 33
The Ventura County Sherriff has confirmed (in the early hours of July 14) that the body found in Lake Piru indeed belonged to the ‘Glee’ actress Naya Rivera, putting an end to days of intensive search.
Meanwhile, the news has left millions of fans, including friends and family members of Rivera completely heartbroken.
The search for the actress began when the cops received a call on July 9 of a ‘lost boy’ (Rivera’s 4-year-old son) near a boat wearing a life jacket.
However, the actress was declared ‘presumed dead’ by a number of news outlets on the day itself.
Inspite of that, search operations for Rivera continued, with ex-husband Ryan Dorsey contributing in the search himself.
‘MYTHBUSTERS’ CO-HOST DIES
Grant Imahara, an electrical engineer and a former host to Discovery Channel’s ‘MythBusters’ has died at 49. Above that, no details have been given. However, multiple news outlets have reported a brain aneurysm as the cause of death.
Meanwhile, Imahara has co-hosted the third season (nearly 200 episodes) of ‘MythBuster’ with Kari Byron and Tory Belleci. In addition, Grant Imahara has also co-hosted a Netflix show called the ‘White Rabbit Project.’
SOUTH AFRICA GRIEVES THE LOSS OF ANOTHER LEADER
Just days ahead of Nelson Mandela’s 102 Birth Anniversary on July 18, his daughter Zindzi Mandela; a South African activist and a diplomat to Denmark has died at 59. The news was brought to light by the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa tweeting himself.
However, the cause of death has not been revealed. Meanwhile, Zindzi Mandela died in a hospital in the South African city of Johannesburg.
