Chris Evans will not return in the sequel of Knives Out
The director of the film Rian Johnson recently revealed that Captain America star Chris Evans probably won’t show up in the Knives Out sequel. In an interview with an entertainment portal, he said: “Fans should expect the sequel to be set in a “whole new location” and boast a “whole new cast”- which means there is no chance of seeing Marvel’s character Chris Evans.
Evan’s confession for his role in Knives Out:
According to Chris Evans, he wanted to be a part of the film so badly that he ended up begging Rian Johnson for the role. Talking about his character, he played the role of Ransom Drysdale, a spoiled brat and ruthless grandson to the murdered mystery writer Harlan Thrombey.
His character was not exactly a positive one, with Ransom randomly throwing his family in utter chaos. Ransom was also quite manipulative to be around as well. He was the one who committed the crime and was arrested in the end.
Chris Evan’s aggression to play Ransom Drysdale:
Chris Evans even admitted that he was so eager to get the part of the film, that he got a little bit aggressive in his appeal to director Rian Johnson. Further, he shared the whole scenario saying that he did not even let Rian talk. We must say Evan’s begging and aggression surely paid off as he gets appreciated for the character he played in the film. Probably he should amplify it to get a character in Knives Out 2
