Ariel Winter has given more than a decade to her character, Alex Dunphy, on the ABC series. Recently, Ariel Winter discussed her journey on Modern Family with People Magazine. She revealed that it was not easy at all to handle the criticism. While the criticism was bad, it was even worse with social media because the people are allowed to say whatever they want to. They used to comment on her looks and her physique changes.
Furthermore, she continued by saying, “I was too young to handle that criticism while others were just figuring out to bash people online. It was rough going through all of my awkward stages, all of my different stages because I really changed a lot over the course of 11 years”
Ariel Winter said that she is grateful to the show. However, she does think that growing up on TV and in front of millions of people with social media is a bit rough. But she handled it gracefully and gradually.
Modern Family Supported Ariel Winter To Become The Person She Is Today:
While Ariel Winter discussed criticism and appreciation by the audiences, she also talked about her on-screen family. She said that she owes her on-screen family for helping to mold her into the person that she is today. She added that being on the show for a long time is not less than a blessing as an artist. “You get a chance to learn from such wonderful and talented people around you.”
