Motorola has announced a foldable smartphone version of its earlier popular model Moto Razr. The smartphone will be available for pre order from January 2020.
Moto Razr was very popular for its sleek and metallic design with foldable feature in 2000s when Apple iPhone was not in the scene.
As per CNET report, many executives and engineers from Motorola (now owned by Lenovo) explained the new Moto Razr’s development process, specially the hinge of the smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold was first to introduce foldable smartphone in the market, but after announcement its launch was delayed by 5 months due to complaint of reviewers (before launch test) complaint of screen breakage issue while folding, within few days of use.
If you are a millennial, you must aware of the fact that in the era of 2000, when there were very few cool looking phones, Moto Razr was one of them and it was the pre iPhone era.
Moto Razr’s metallic body, sharp edges and a unique foldable feature helped it rise above then popular Nokia mobile phones.
Motorola released the 2019 edition of its Moto Razr, featuring a foldable display while retaining the charm of a flip device.
The Moto Razr packs a 6.2-inch foldable primary screen, 2.7-inch outer display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage.
Hi this is the @MotorolaUS #MotoRazr. It looks like a Razr, it feels like a Razr, and it even smells like a Razr. But it's Foldable. But not that kind of Foldable. Like a 𝐹𝑜𝑙𝑑𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 Foldable.https://t.co/KPqsIkeJ5P pic.twitter.com/M3numwT5mD— David ImeI (@DurvidImel) November 14, 2019
Moreover, it will have only 2,510mAh battery, 5-megapixel front camera, and a 16-megapixel rear camera, as per Motorola’s official website, which is not as per expectations now-a-days.
Despite the average specifications, the Moto Razr is expected to launch at a price range of USD 1499 (approx 1 lakh INR), and come in Noir Black colour.
