Jabra Elite 85h Wireless Headphones With Active Noise Cancellation Launched
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019 has kick-started and there are a number of devices which are expected to be released this year during the show. Among various launches, Jabra, the Denmark based audio products manufacturer has introduced a new audio product at the ongoing CES 2019 in Las Vegas.
Jabra has launched Elite 85h headphones with active noise cancellation technology for superior audio output. The headphone uses an AI technology which the company is calling as “SmartSound” and it supports voice-based digital assistants such as Siri, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa.
When you read reviews or discuss the best noise-canceling headphones with others, Bose and Sony are commonly the most discussed and they both have awesome headphones with the QuietComfort 35 II and WH1000XM3.
Jabra is known for making some of the most advanced headsets for professionals in the enterprise world and today announced its new Elite 85h headphones that look to take on others in the noise-canceling space.
While I have tried using over-the-ear and on-the-ear headphones in the past, my ears always experienced pain after an hour or two of use so I relied on earbuds for listening to audio content. After convincing from my oldest daughter, testing hers for a couple of days, and an Amazon $50 price drop, I picked up the Bose QuietComfort 35 II for myself last month and have been living a great audio life on the train, on the plane, and in my office.
The headset also sports active noise cancellation, along with a new sound adjustment technology known as Smart Sound. This will allow users to customize audio profiles according to three use cases – commute, in public and in private.
While you can set levels such as volume, noise cancellation, and equalizer settings through a companion app for each of these profiles, the Jabra Elite 85h does not currently allow users to customize what environmental cues trigger specific profiles.
The Jabra Elite 85h headset comes with a USB Type-C port for charging, IP52 water and dust resistance rating, eight microphones for Smart Sound, active noise cancellation, voice assistant control and hands-free calling, and a claimed 32 hours of battery life under specific usage conditions.
