Honor View 20 with 25MP front camera set to launch in India on January 29
Honor has been teasing the launch of its Honor View 20 smartphone in India since the past few weeks. Now, the company has confirmed that the phone will be launched in India on 29th January. It has sent out ‘Save The Date’ invites. The smartphone has already been confirmed to be sold exclusively through Amazon.
Amazon India has already revealed that it will be exclusively selling the Honor View 20 in the country, however, the pricing and exact availability details remain unclear for now. Honor is a sub-brand of the Chinese telecom giant Huawei and currently sells around 10 phones in the country.
Honor view 20 Specs
The Honor View 20 will be launched as an international variant of the Honor V20 which got official in China in December. The device will feature a 6.4-inch full-HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 16.7 million colors, a screen-to-body ratio of 91.82 percent and a pixel density of 382 ppi.
The Honor phone is powered by a Kirin 980 (2 x Cortex A76 2.6 GHz + 2 x Cortex A76 1.92 GHz + 4 x Cortex A55 1.8 GHz) processor with 720 MHz ARM Mali-G76MP10 GPU. The device comes in three configurations – 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. It also has GPU Turbo 2.0 technology that boosts performance while gaming. It features a circular fingerprint sensor at the back.
The Honor smartphone’s inbuilt storage will be 128GB or 256GB, depending on the model. There is however no memory expansion slot in the phone. Additionally, the Honor View 20 packs a 4,000mAh battery and the connectivity options like Bluetooth v5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. There is USB Type-C port as well on the phone.
In terms of the software, the View 20 runs Magic UI 2.0 based on Android 9 Pie. The Magic UI is very similar to its predecessor the EMUI, apart from a new colour scheme, real-time in-call voice translations, and more.
