Great news for Google pixel lovers
Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite will be announced for Verizon in “early spring” which could signify either an April or May announcement in 2019. This could position its timing just around six months before Google’s usual MadeByGoogle launch event, which usually takes place sometime in October – offsetting the launch of the company’s premium Pixel offering.
Both smartphones are said to be powered by either the Snapdragon 670 or the premium mid-range Snapdragon 710 SoC. Both devices should sport 4GB of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable storage.
The Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite is reported to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 or Snapdragon 710 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, a single 12-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front camera. Corroborating previous reports, the new Pixel phones are also said to retain the traditional headphone jack. Moreover, the Pixel 3 Lite is reported to feature a 5.5-inch display, while the Pixel 3 XL Lite could have a 6-inch display.
Key Specs:
- Pixel 3 XL lite 5.5-inch display, while the latter should boast a bigger 6-inch screen. These devices will not show any love for the “notch”, being very similar to the standard Pixel 3 in terms of design. Also, the screens will sport a taller 18:5:9 aspect ratio with an FHD+ resolution.
- The devices might be powered by either a Snapdragon 670 or 710 CPU. In the camera department, we’re looking at the same 12MP main and 8MP front cameras that come with the Pixel 3 and 3 XL. We would say in a battery 3,400~3,500mAh capacity, but for now, that’s mere speculation. Both handsets will run Android 9.0 Pie, and that’s not a surprise.
