iFixit removes Galaxy Fold teardown on Samsung’s request
In just a day of publishing, repair firm iFixit removed its teardown of Samsung’s first foldable smartphone, Galaxy Fold, on the company’s request.
On its official blog, iFixit explained that the Samsung Galaxy Fold unit they received was through a trusted third party, fuelling suspicions about the unit being an underdeveloped version of the anticipated smartphone, or probably the device is actually as fragile as the teardown discovered, much to Samsung’s disappointment.
It is unclear if Samsung is reworking on the Galaxy Fold’s design and durability before it ships to the consumers. In its teardown, iFixit gave it a score of 2/10 on the repairability scale owing to its fragility, making it difficult to repair. (ANI)
