Audio-Technica rolls out a noise-canceling trio to do battle with Sony and Bose
The two most in-demand features in modern headphones are wireless playback and active noise cancellation (ANC), and Audio-Technica is addressing both with the launch of three new sets of headphones at CES 2019
CES 2019: Audio Technica has launched three new wireless headphones with active noise cancellation. Two of the most sought-after features in modern headphones are wireless music playback and noise cancellation. Nobody likes to get tangled up in the cables, and with more smartphones that discard the traditional headphone jack, consumers are always looking for a wireless option.
Audio Technica announced plans to meet this demand with three new wireless noise-canceling headphones. The company is ready to face big players like Sony and Bose with their new products. Audio Technica has announced that the new ATH-ANC900BT wireless headphones will accept the most advanced offers from Sony and Bose.
Audio Technica has priced the ATH-ANC900BT wireless headphones at $299 (roughly Rs. 20,800) which is highly attractive considering its biggest rivals easily cost more than that. The company claims these are its best noise-canceling wireless headphones yet.
The most appealing spec of the ANC900BT, which support Bluetooth 5, is a claimed battery life of 35 hours with ANC turned on. That number overshadows most of what we’ve seen on the market so far, and it will absolutely pose a challenge to Sony’s reigning champion 1000Xs.
Wireless headphones come with noise cancellation modes that can be adjusted using the company’s Connect mobile application. The microphones present inside the headphones adjust to the surrounding noise.
